2009-09-03 16:15 - TP7087 (Wyke)
Walked through gate at the back of the farm. No one around to ask for permission. Walked up the track and did a beline for the trig. Dead pig in the yard.
2009-08-31 13:40 - TP0005 (Moel Fammau)
Got this trig the hard way....during a fell race. Even did the few extra yards to touch the trig before heading back down the hill side.
2009-08-21 19:00 - TP5669 (Rhyllech)
The farmer told me this trig was unreachable due to the fact that no one clears the ground up there. He showed no view on where anyone visited it or not. I decided the undergrowth was far to thick with brambles and the like to explore in detail. No doubt be in the area again as the nearby beach is good for body boarding and surfing
2009-08-16 19:15 - TP6922 (Whitwell)
Found not far from the road or footpath in the field. There are tracks straight to it. It has toppled and left the bottom in place. A sad affair.
2009-08-16 18:45 - TP3229 (Forest Hill)
Could only just see the trig through the foliage.
2009-08-16 18:35 - TP1561 (Bradmer)

2009-08-09 16:50 - TP5410 (Pen-Y-Ffrith)
Drove up to the fishing lake then walked up to the trig following the track to the top. There was a piece of rope wound round the trig didn't know why till I looked at previous photos. Could see several other trigs from this position.
2009-08-09 16:30 - TP0605 (Wrexham FBM Aux 1)
Not an easy one to find and would need some digging, couldn't feel it under the surface and didn't have a trowel.
2009-08-09 16:30 - TP0180 (Gwynfryn)
Still visable on the surface.
2009-08-09 16:20 - TP7254 (Wrexham)

2009-07-12 15:00 - TP2162 (Chinley Churn)
A short but steep walk up past the old quaried crags. Had to climb over a wall and negotiate an electric fence. The farmer came up in his 4x4 to check up on me but was friendly enough.
2009-07-12 14:25 - TP4361 (Lantern Pike)
Walked up the bridleway munching on bilberrys along the way. As the track levels out there is a small path heading up the hillside which takes you straight to the view point. Good views all round, enen distant ones beyond Manchester. Trig not far away.

The gates were locked when I went for a look. trees and undergrowth thick at this time of the year and couldn't see into the compound.
2009-06-29 13:10 - TP5595 (Rawmarsh Resr)
Not an overly impresive place. Trig in the confines of the res.
2009-06-29 12:45 - TP3918 (Hill Top)
Best approached the end of road where the footpath starts. Its by the trees in the field hugging a garden fence.
2009-06-29 12:15 - TP6958 (Wincobank Hill)
A nice peacefull place for its city location. Walked up the track from the top of the road to the fort. No sign of the trig anymore.
2009-06-25 13:05 - TP5692 (Rishworth Moor)
Wonderfull views all around. Sky Larks, Twites and Curlews could be seen and heard in the area. On the road up from Ripponden there is a trig looking stucture just off the road but I Couldn't find the flash plate. If there is one.

2009-06-16 15:15 - TP1564 (Bradway)
Parked near footpath sign which runs around the outside of the golf range. Trig is situated at the far end of the golf range. Amusingly there are golf balls wedged in the fence it self. Must of been a good shot.
2009-06-16 14:35 - TP5685 (Ringinglow)
Walked in from Firs Farm along a footpath which isn't shown on my 1:50 000 110 map. The hay had just been cut, walked round the top field to the trig which was in an adjacent field. Could touch the trig over the wall but didn't climb over as the farmers were out gathering hay in.

2009-05-05 18:00 - TP3688 (Haypark)
Parked by the bridleway on the road between Ripon and A1. Walked through a pig farm that wasn't pleasant. Pigs in sheds with no natural light and what sounded like some alarming squeals. Easy walking up the bridleway and the trig is on the bend. It is a little confusing trying to get to the little road when heading north up the A1.

On route the farmer came up on his quad asking if he could help, I said what I was doing there and he was fine about it saying some folk are up to no good sometimes. One of his neighbours had rung him saying someone had wandered off the footpath.
2009-03-18 17:20 - TP5712 (Rod Moor)
Lovely spot. Walked up the footpath to the gate then headed up the side of the walled wood to the trig. First one with my eldest brother.
2009-03-17 16:50 - TP3921 (Hill Top Farm)
What a dump. All the way up the track to the tower.Looks like a bit of tidying up may have been done. The edge wasn't too bad apart from used clay pigeons scattered around the trig base.

From the trig you can see 360 views. Where the pennine way crosses the motorway, the turbines above Hebden Bridge, Black Hill, Margery Hill, Emley moor mast, Huddersfield and Halifax. A truely amazing place apart from the noise from the motorway.
2009-02-25 16:20 - TP5429 (Peter Lane)
Not sure about the estate. Parked up and followed footpath which lead straight to the trig. Interesting wound, looks remarkably like a gun shot. Avoided a big barking dog by walking back through the field next to the trig and walkng through the estate

Went to this one after an exercise at Greenfield res. Nice drive out after a day out on the hill.

2009-02-08 14:29 - TP5605 (Red Dyke)
Came by this unexpectedly on a bike ride in the area starting from Snainton. Loads of snow on the gound making riding very hard wrk at times ~:)

2009-02-03 13:50 - TP4906 (Moor Grange)
Council type estate with blocks of flats. Visited Whitecote first and then onto this one. Bare in mind that the lane from Whitecote over the canal and railway is a no through road.
2009-02-03 13:30 - TP6901 (Whitecote)
An easy find. On the B6157 just after the lights on the right hand side opposite a junction. Situated above the road on a path for the houses.

Great views of surrounding hills including Pen-y-ghent Whernside and Fountains Fell.
2009-01-24 13:15 - TP2465 (Cow Close Fell)
First hill of the day was Fountains Fell in the snow. Trogged through the snow along the ridge to this trig. it stands a bit higher than the surrounding hill side which has washed away around its base. Views would of been better if the cloud had risen a bit more.
2009-01-20 16:10 - TP6907 (Whitelane End)
Goog views into Derbyshire, with snow covering the hills bathed in sunshine. Went looking for 2 others but the map was out dated making it very confusing.

Did venture to find this one. First by the houses above the A650 but their security is high, I couldn't see a way up through the under growth and was going the wrong way for the layby. Sounds like a fight to touch it ~:)
