St Andrews Church, Ayr. Nothing really to add other than to confirm that it is still there and appears to be in good condition.

church in lovely street of houses. parked briefly in permit holders space..... no cutmark to be found here for benchmarkers. http://www.scotlandschurchestrust.org.uk/church/st-andrews-parish-church-ayr St Andrew's, identified by its tall red sandstone spire, was opened in November 1893. The worshipping congregation came from the Wallacetown Free Church disruption. The design, by John B Wilson, is Perpendicular Gothic. The beautiful stained glass includes work by John Blyth, Marcus McLundie and G Maile Studios, Canterbury. The church hall (1897) is by William McClelland, major extensions to provide additional accommodation 1963 and 1983.

My first ever visit to Ayr (to see the Honest Men) - by train from Perth; lots of passengers drinking heavily & not even 10 o'clock - phew! St Andrew's is a fine Victorian red sandstone church, but as expected sadly locked.
