Discovered whilst travelling to port to catch ferry to Isle of Wight. Very impressive structure.

This is a fine handsome church of 1865/6 (architect William White) with the spire completed later in 1875. Internally,it's like a huge warm red-bricked barn full of charm and atmosphere. I've attended many concerts here over the years: mostly the Conchord Singers (Southampton CND), but tonight it was to a gathering in the next door Waterloo Arms an equally warm building for a pint (or two).
