6m from the trees on the edge of the crop field still uncovered. Handy parking area on the minor road opposite the double gates.

2.5 inch conical bolt in block projecting from low bank at field edge, easy find in winter as predicted by CJO. Bolt was covered with a few stones which I replaced, leaving leading edge exposed, as found

Spotted a Roe deer on approach. GR places this to wards the west of the cairn close to the plough line of the field. Large cairn, lots of rocks and vey long wet grass. May have better luck in finding this in the winter months.
