Difficult to explain the delight experienced in finding these! At base of cairn, under the rocks.

finding this 1 cm metal rivet buried in the cairn was a highlight of a rather grey day. Thanks to Big J. Parked on A82 near Onich pier. Returned via the coast.

Nice find BigJ. Rebuilt centre of cairn leaving window above bolt, just need to remove the circular capstone. Accessed from Onich via Hill House track, path all the way. Parked a mile further east at old village hall for a 4 hill walk

Lovely little hill easily accessed by a good track on the Onich side. Initially thought the bolt might be near, but not on the cairn. Stabbed all round and dug a few pits but nothing found. Ground was really too deep and the only place where the bedrock came near the surface was under the cairn. Oh well. Here goes. Carefully dismantled the cairn and in doing so, CJ spotted the telltale sign of white paint. Carried on removing the detritus and there it was. 1 inch domed bolt with dimple. Took photographs and readings and rebuilt the cairn. With CJ.
