Drove passed this location many times plus worked on a nearby pig farm for a few weeks seeing practice in 1978.

Log #184. Driven along this section of the M73 a number of times over the last few weeks. There is definitely no pillar, as it was destroyed when the motorway was built. Pillar is visible on the 1-inch 7th series mapping ('55-'61). [ExP-150/MiP-4/Rev-2/BM-12/IS-13/Other-3]

Wouldn't normally count a drive-by log, but for this one I think I'll make an exception. I might see if I can investigate the location on foot some time, but I doubt it. Generous score for something long gone as this is the start of the long and winding road to the Highlands.

2-4-6-8 Definitely too late for this one. Checked the GR against a drive along the M73, returning from a rather enjoyable Scotland v Australia rugby international at Hampden. Examined path on GPS at home, Outside lane northbound or central reservation in a deep cutting.
