Parked just along from Auchnagallin and made way up over fields and joined with the old path (which eventually leads to the mobile mast) then a tough slog through unsolid snow and heavy heather. Great views all round at top including Cairngorms

Parked near Auchnagallin and followed the obvious track north to Huntly's Cave and Sgor Gaoithe. Turned east and followed an ATV track on the north side of the fence before heading across the frozen bog to the trig. Returned via Auchnahannet and up the road to the car.

Parked on the verge by the wheelie bins for Auchnahannet farm and walked up the track. Followed the large track to the mast until about 1km, then took a quad track off to the left which went along in the wrong direction and didn't go up the hill as planned. Then decided to pick my way up through the heather, holes and bog finding the odd 'path' and eventually arrived at the trigpoint. Found this 1km tough in both directions. Luckily the lack of tracks, quad or otherwise meant we didn't see any snares which was lucky as I had Charlie with me. As per previous logs the pillar is in good condition (but the cap is missing), with good views in all directions - especially towards Ben Rinnes, and towards the Cairngorms. Grouse water butt (is that what it is?) close to trigpoint.

Log #146. Standard route, parked on the verge opposite Auchnahannet farm and walked up the track. One thing to note, there is a small quad track that leads north from 066 350 - this has numerous snares in various locations. On my way back I wasn't paying attention and ended up sprachling in the heather after getting my foot caught in one. Luckily it was easy enough to slacken. The pillar is in good condition (but the cap is missing), with good views in all directions - especially towards Ben Rinnes, and towards the Cairngorms. [ExP-131/MiP-2/Rev-2/BM-10/Other-1]

Approached from SSW. Parked on west verge opposite entrance to Auchnahannet at NJ058333. Up via mapped track to NJ066350, then a ramdom yomp through the heather to the summit. Summit of rough grassand heather. Pillar in good condition. Spider centre open. Flush bracket faces WSW, compass reading 253°. Vented through NW sight hole. Panoramic 360° view includes Ben Rinnes, the Cairngorms and many prominent summits north of the Moray Firth.

vgc, no cap or plug. Surprisingly infrequently visited for a Marilyn with a track most of the way. Remainder of climb a bit tussocky-heathery but not hard, from SW.

Plug missing, otherwise fine. Up in Strathspey for a birthday party/gathering of baggers. Lovely undemanding walk amongst the autumn colours.
