Sadly it might appear that this Passive station has been removed. There is a square recess in the ground where it should of been located, and while I did my best job to locate it around the suggested area. Considering the fact that: - There is a hole located where it should be located - My photo aligns well with @Bateleurs photo. - My GNSS receiver (with cm accuracy) puts it within 2m of where it should be located. - The station has been removed from the Passive station database on OS's website... It's fairly likely that this has been intentionally removed by Ordinate Survey. My guess is that it was not safe to use anymore due to its precarious location (having to cross a motorway sliproad), as well as it being quite covered by trees so it not as useful as a benchmark for GPS readings. However, I was losing light when I was searching so maybe it's still there!

Thanks to those before who have found, marked and kept clear this spot. Crossed the footbridge over the M25 and cut right just before the underpass. Road not too busy to cross.

Traffic was heavier than expected for a Sunday morning but managed to reach the block safely. Not there is small camp just after leaving the motorway bridge - easily avoided by going north. The Block was still sitting under its cross and easy to find. I spent some time tidying it up, took some pictures and replaced the cross.

After failing to find it thirteen years ago, was delighted to be shown where it was by Simon. Am somewhat relieved that for years after my visit, several other people also failed until Griefmiester finally uncovered it - well done he! Surrounding trees undoubtedly affected the accuracy, despite leaving it averaging for ten minutes.

Easy to find with help of a 4cm to 1km OS map. The cross of branches left a few months ago by TrigJS is still there. Thanks for that. To clarify the directions in previous posts a bit: on the Kingston Road at the B&Q/Tesco roundabout, take the third exit, which is the continuation of Kingston Road. At the top, cross the M25 on the footbridge. At the other end of the bridge, on the right side of the path there’s a gap in the fence. Go through that into a bit of woodland. A few hundred metres in is the very start of the M25 slip-on. Cross over and head up to the top of the mound. Best to avoid the morning and evening rush on the slip road. In the woods there are brambles and nettles. Nearby Teazle Wood has adders, so they may well be here too. Wellies and gloves are a smart idea. Crossing the slip road seems to be the only way to get to this trig. It's also surrounded by trees and scrubby plants, so it's now no use for line of sight surveying. That may be why it's no longer on the OS' official list. My guess is that they set it up to lay out that bit of the M25. After that it wasn't needed so the mound is not kept clear.

Accessed from Kingston Road and then crossed the slip road onto M25 to get to the trig point. Block was easy to find at the top of the hill as there was a gap in the ivy on the ground. Cleared the location again and left a some fallen branches as an X marks the spot for the next visitor. Jonglew - sorry I didn’t find your screwdriver!

Parked at N end of Kingston Rd for easy access... apart from the last little bit which was fun in the 7am traffic! Good ground covering of ivy but found it quite quickly. 1" bolt in concrete. Cleared and left it uncovered. No longer appears on the OS Passive dBase. Anyone finds a long-bladed, yellow-handled screwdriver (came out of my pack at exactly TQ 16453 58630 - can be seen in my 1st photo), they're welcome to it. First time I use it and I lose it!

1" bolt in block on small wooded hilltop beside M25 junction. Parked in hatched area of roundabout, fortunately a quick bag with depression obvious even with covering of autumn leaves, block otherwise uncovered and bolt easily found.

Parked in Kingston Road and used the footpath to get into the middle of the roundabout, then nipped across to the traffic island. Block took a bit of finding but not too difficult. Overgrown, but essentially level with the soil. Tent peg useful. Seems to have been removed from OS Passive Station database.

What a coincidence to visit on same day as Griefmiester..... shame I missed you by half a day. Hadn't read his log but approached the site by the same route which is fairly easy. Thought I was going to log a 'couldnt find it', but walked straight to it, and found it expertly excavated... well done, and thank you.

This is one of those for the more obsessed without doubt. I Parked in Kingstone Road and followed footpath over footbridge above M25 then underpass - getting my self onto traffic island area (bit of a hedgehog run so be carefull) - up the trough the trees and brambles to the bank in the centre of the island - the OS sketch is at best vauge and the sighting points are no longer visible due to the height of the trees - there is a rough sketch showing the location, so this was a trial and error prodding session that proved succesfull after a short while - Block is in good condition and is uncovered now (well for a while) if you fancy a bagg.

You take your life into your own hands finding this! I parked in a layby on the A24 and walked along the verge to the site with traffic belting past. When I got there it was so overgrown that I gave up any real hope of finding the block although it's probably still there somewhere. Even with the sketch I couldn't find it as the OS markers are invisible now.

Not convinced this can be legally visited as it appears to be part of the M25 access verge ad hence covered by motorway regs.

Effectively on a traffic island on the northern (anti-clockwise) M25 access roundabout. Heavily overgrown since last OS visit in 1994 such that sight-lines on OS sketch not visible - even now with no leaves. Sure I could see it on the Google aerial photo, but no sign of it on the ground :-( Have the OS removed it due to the high undergrowth?
