Walked from Bankfoot church car park. Verge well overgrown but thanks to nail in post and trusty screwdriver followed by trowel, big block with big brassy bolt. Down about 4". Farm traffic probably keeps covering it.
Big bolt and Coot key.
Trig bagging collie guards the surface block.

Well what can I say sometimes you need a woman along to assist! If she has mad hair even better. Quick find.

1 inch bolt, now buried under 2" of turf.
Farkhill
Farkhill block is one foot to left and 3 foot in front of the pipenail on the fence post.

S verge, 2-3ft back from edge of tarmac. Find fence post with stud on top: block is 1 ft to left. 14m west of centre line of farm entrance, 8th fence post west of no parking sign. Buried 4" down, easy find thanks to previous logs and photos.
Frosty but not deep frozen
looking east past farm entrance

Someone, I presume fasgadh, has cunningly covered over the correct hole and left a nearby attempt exposed.

Bit of a search required.. but the OS sketch did the trick.. Nice of them to stud a fencepost. Well buried. Get there quick before it grows over again. Farkhill is not a farm anymore, but another ruddy Southfark.--- Would I do such a thing...? Must remember to replace all divots.
