Parked in the small layby near spot height 369. Very high and wet heather to start which gets shorter the nearer to the fence you get. Over the Deere fence & to the trig. I don't know if there is a gate through the fence close by to the trig as it was raining and dark.

Only a short distance from the road, but deep heather made it arduous. May have been better to follow up the deer fence.

Paused to bag this en route to Ballater from Montrose during a 2 week tour of UK in a motorhome. I even managed to persuade Kim and her daughter to trudge through the heather and they agreed that the lovely a/r views were worth it.

Parked immediately east and a short walk over the heather. Two deer fences to negotiate a few metres from the pillar but the trig can been seen clearly by those not inclined to climb. Limited views due to mist and drizzle.
