Up the farm track to the east of this pillar, then along the tractor tracks through a cornfield (blowing free: Argus - Wishbone Ash) to reach no s4602 set between fields, with today a lovely display of poppies & ox-eye daisies. Cap in place with indented lettering. Back in the silver machine, to continue the music theme with Polly Jean's White Chalk (not quite Dorset, but a different kind of countryside beauty.)

First visit. To record FB number. HISTORY: The pillar was completed 11th May 1948 costing £5.13s.6d. This marker was computed for triangulation as tertiary station NO42/T32 in the Dundee secondary block during 1948. The flush bracket was levelled for height to first class precision, secondary standards in 1970. This marker was last maintained by the OS in October 1981. SITE VISIT: Edge of arable field. This pillar was painted light grey at the time of my visit. Undercoat during a repaint? Monday night stroll while in Dundee on business. This was my first ever Tayside pillar bag. No photographs taken on this visit.
