Pillar in good condition and I'd say well cared for. Down a farm track with the fence built to accomodate it. I parked by the opening to the track on the B9169 (quiet early morning). Fine views northwards.

Parked at the end of the farm track, and jogged down to the pillar set within a hedge. Cap in place with raised lettering. Fine views over Cromarty Firth.

Log #370. My sister was getting dropped off by the bus at Duncanston, so I took a very quick detour to revisit this trig. No change in condition and not much else to note, other than I had to wheelspin my way up the gravel track to get back onto the Culbokie road. [ExP-254/MiP-32/Rev-6/BM-25/IS-35/Other-18]

Lovely views over the ripening corn to the hills beyond. Odd to still see snow on some of these hills at this time of year. A nice trig for not much effort.

Log #6. Easy to find, head west out of Culbokie and down a farm track on your right. Trig is slap bang next to the track. [ExP-6/MiP-0/BM-0]

Situated in the line of the boundary fence. There are staples down either side to allow the farmer to attach his fence. Amazing.

The 1st trig in our Black Isle trig bagging mini-tour en-route from Tongue to Aviemore. Turmed directly off the A9(T) along a farm track to access the trig which is located at edge of the road.

Parked just off road by junction with farm track at NH596578. Less than 100m walk along track to pillar. On SW side of farm track. Tertiary station pillar, in good condition, completed 30th August 1954, costing £23.13s.0d. Spider has OS centre cap with raised small letters. Flush bracket faces 30° (NNE) across farm track. Vented through SW sight hole. 135° panorama from WSW clockwise to NNE.

Travelling south, this was the last pillar visited until I stopped at Heathcote Farm pillar in Warwickshire, a distance of 503 miles. When I checked the photograph times, they were exactly 12 hours apart to the minute!
