Viewed from shore. Whilst there RNLI inshore lifeboat arrived and I watched it driving on to a cradle to enable it to be winched up into the lifeboat shed with the crew still aboard.

At Broughty Ferry. RNLI gate locked but can be seen easily from the shore. Newer style Leica dome with AR10 receiver. This is the third site for a Dundee Active Stn, installed Sep 2011. Preceded by DUND (TP7744) and DUNE (TP25651)

Gate to jetty locked but you can spot it from the the locked gates on the pier or from the beach below, however today it was very misty so hard to get a good photograph.

The gate to the pier & jetty was locked, but there was a perfect view from Fisher Street. My main reason for today's visit to Broughty Ferry was to visit the wonderful Assai Records shop in King Street. Great to be in a 'proper' record shop once again, and not a CD in sight. Just had to buy some vinyl. Bought three LP's including the brilliant Martyn Bennett's Grit (complete with a trigpoint pillar on both front & back covers). So I really feel as though I've bagged two trigs today!

Dundee lol, what a dump! First time I've really stopped here and had a good wander. Maybe a Saturday evening doesn't show its best light but still...and I ain't exactly a prude ;) Nice ship tho...

Not to sure how to log this one, if you use the grid ref NO39838 30752 you arrive at the old unused Dundee college buildings,I walked all round the grounds and no sign,you can walk a little further up hill and get a decent view of the roof again with no sign of a active station,if you use the link for DUDE on the OSGB active station website you get a link for a photo of the site which shows a lifeboat, I rang the lifeboat station and they confirmed a OS active station on the pier leading down to the lifeboat itself,a very nice man arranged to meet me and also very kindly give me access to the pier for some photo's, the Grid ref above is the for the pier,always great views from this area and always cold.
