Been here several times.Good viewpoint despite cloud.
Revisit. Tarmac plug; plaque; pillar top slightly rounded. Drizzly afternoon so views a bit disappointing.
Excellent views. Fairly easy access. Trig hosts plaque detailing some local historical information.
An evening stroll with sunset
A good track up to the trig point, but a bit of a boggy nightmare beyond it. Once past Round Hill it got even worse. The final walk of 2011 and my ante-penultimate Yorkshire Dales trig point!

Nice straightforward stroll from the road below. Not too steep, not too taxing... just a reasonable uphill ramble. It was an extra bit special today, however, as the road below was shrouded in thick mist yet the summit was in glorious sunshine and blue skies. Looking down, all the surrounding landscape was beneath the cloud with just occasional neighbouring peaks poking above in the distance. Quite surreal and serene!
Nice after-work stroll on a broody threatening evening up to the top of 1400 foot Beamsley Beacon. Great 360 degree views. Trig in reasonably good condition with some restored top damage. Concrete plug. Must have been painted in last few years. A National Park bronze plaque affixed to the trig gives some background to the adjacent bronze-age burial mound as well as the trig point itself.
Trig has been painted white, and has a large plaque attached to it explaning about the Beacon, and it's massive cairn on the summit. Hiked up from Ilkley, went on to scale neighbouring Round Hill and back into Ilkley. Shame it was low cloud though, as I understand the view are wonderful. Ah well next time! Been up many times. One of my favourite hills.
A very enjoyab;e walk from Bolton Abbey through Storiths and Hazelwood before returning along the River Wharfe.

This was a good steep rocky ridge walk to top,large ancient cairn next to trig. Best allround views of day from this one.Trig top is damaged tarmac plug Large Plaque from NT affixed giving history of top.
Has acquired a metal plaque, courtesy Yorkshire Dales NPA. A permanent version of Managra's earlier note.
3 of 4. I first came up here on a very foggy day in november 2008. It wasnt quite as grim today, but the view was limited. Trig is very white, but top is considerably damaged, and theres a large plaque about the nearby burial mounds
Weather very overcast today. 12 miler from Ben Rhydding to Ilkley via Denton, Lippersley Pike, Round Hill, Beamsley & Ling Park.

Tasked by the YDNPA to paint the trig point prior to a plaque being affixed to it at some date in the future. The top edges of the pillar have been damaged such that the top is rounded rather than square.
A lovely lofty place. Very windy on top and along the ridge.

great peak for some stunning views
Slightly damaged atop a cairn on top of two Bronze Age burial mounds. It had a notice taped to it warning us not to damage the mounds any further. Lovely views. Tarmac plug. We were mobbed by a lapwing on the way there and back, probably protecting her nest.
Up from the lane and track to the north. A local told me the cairn wasn’t there when they erected the pillar in 1949, so I worked out that, on average, one person has added one stone every other day for 60 years to build it.
Light snow, bright sunshine - my first Trigpointing summit and the first summit for my eight week old grandson, Matthew!

Easily accessible. I walked up from the car park near Howber Hill Farm and followed the well trod path up to the top. Magnificent view point up Wharfedale. Damage to top with some restoration. Photographs taken on a return visit on a glorious November day. [12.11.08]
An evening stroll with 16th Harrogate cubs for a family BBQ at The Old Pike Cairn, logged the trig on the way back down to the car. A beautiful sunset was observed.
Not as hard to get up as I thought. Quite popular. Headed north from here to North Nab

I was fortunate to be here on a beautiful sunny day, what a lovely place. The trig looks a bit sad though, damaged at the top and its not the highest thing around, its having to take second place to a big cairn.

Beautiful day, great view down Wharfedale
The views are supposed to be good but not today. Low cloud.
Latest of several visits (first in Dec 2002).A couple of miles north of Addingham. Fantastic views on a clear day but inhospitable if the weather's against you and I seem to just get the extremes, today was awful with wind, mist and low cloud swirling and no view worth mentioning (hence the photo's aren't up to much). Top of the trig is a little damaged. No Cars, On Foot!!

Somebody had tried to turn the trig into a cairn and we had to remove quite a lot of loose stones to read the FB. Tarmac plug.
Ran up from Addingham while staying at in-laws. Those were the days !
