Fancied taking the tram up to this one, but 'adverse weather conditions' meant that the tram rides had been cancelled. Walked instead - took about 40 minutes. The intense cold had, I suppose, put many people off, because it was just me & the trigpoint up there; so fellow trigpointers, choose a bitterly cold Arctic day for a quiet visit....

I drove up to the car park at the tramway station and walked to short distance to the pillar. It was pretty crowded but I waited my turn for a photo! The pillar is in good condition but typically, it’s missing it’s plug. The views are OK but are better if you moved away from the pillar, the tramway and the cable car terminals.

Drove up the toll road to below the cable car station. OS plaques in English and Welsh. A beautiful day and brilliant all round views. One of a few tens scored, what a contrast with Snowdon two days ago.

Came to North Wales to do the Snowdon Horseshoe. Staying two nights in Llandudno so walked to the trigpoint after a fish and chip supper in 22 minutes up the tramway from the promanade. A lovely evening with nobody about – great views.

9.45 on Saturday morning and we had the place to ourselves. Came up from the Grand Hotel passing the ski slope on our left and across the, well moor isnt exactly right but across the grassy bit. Lovely views back to land. Snowdonia was looking broody with mist in layers from the foot of the hills to 2/3 of the way up. On a clear sunny day Id score it higher. NCOF!

Hazy views again today. Hides the worst of the North Wales coast. Crowded as normal for Easter Monday. A primary Trig Point with usual OS plates on the surface. Actually walked up from the Ski Centre. Bagged it in the company of AEH39. The 99th of my 100 for the Charity Year.

This was my first logged trig pillar and is one of my locals. I must have visited here many times as a kid in the late eighties and nineties. It was cold and overcast on this day and so therefore very few others were about. I walked up from town along the nice steep road beside the tram tracks. I descended via the goat filled graveyard to the north and then continued on to the ski slope. The sun was dipping behind the hill as I stood looking down over the pier. I had little idea then about how trig fever would come to grip me over the coming weeks and months.

Would have liked to have ridden the cable car up here, but it wasn't operating today so we drove up instead, although could have taken the train, or walked - the options are endless! Lots to do up here, cafe, mine, museums etc. We primarily came to bag the Marilyn with the trig being secondary (at the time).

Parked at the ski slope, mistakingly and walked up and across to this. We are sure it is probably lovely view in good weather, but in a storm force gail in the driving rain its not much to talk about. It was so wet and wind, we could not even stand up on the trig! Good condition from what we could make out. Raised brass rings on top, cap missing, and two OS plaques on the side.

Great location with views in every direction. Located next to the visitors centre which used to be the old telegraph station. Trig in good condition. You can either drive up, come up on the cable car, or my way was by tram. Makes it a bit more special.

No plug. Public. Great Orme Country Park. Steep road walk up from Llandudno, following tramway [closed for winter]. Prominent trig a little apart from nearby Summit Complex, surprisingly not dwarfed by it, & still governs the summit of the Orme. Majestic headland, with much to discover & explore, well deserves the epithet 'great'.

On a trail round N Wales with Jamie for a week before heading down through Shropshire as part of the quest to fulfill Jamie's aim to get to from 117 to 200Marilyns before next years annual gathering in Strontian and my plan to sectretly see if I could actually get him up 100 new ones in 12 months between gatherings June '08 to June'09. succeeded with two hours to spare before the meal on 6.6. 09

Well what can i say a very fine specimin indeed. Although I was slightly disapointed with my find, I travelled all the way to wales to see this magnificent slab of redundant concrete when in actuall fact, the rig located in hackenthorpe, Sheffield is far more pretty and of much more interest to anyone who considers themselves a true trig connoisseur!! The hackenthorpe trig is highly recommended and worth a visit regardless of how far away you are situated!

Walked up from the Ski Slope, via St. Tudno's church. It had been pouring down earlier so it was amazing to have such great weather. Wonderfull views across sea and mountains. I cannot believe I haven't been here before! Lost my mobile phone though, so managed to do the walk twice more (once with Simon once his ski course was over) looking for it - no luck :-( Me - then me and Simon five hours later! 207m

A nice ride up the Orme on the tram. Very wet and very windy indeed (Umbrella a right off!). I have been on the Orme many times in the past (when I didn't know what this was!) and I know that the views are amazing when sunny. However must give a mark of only 4 due to bad weather and poor view.

As I was also bagging the Marilyn, I parked down in Llandudno and walked up the tram track which is not running at this time of year. I had previously walked around the Orme as part of my England and Wales coastal walk - this section in 1984, and always promised myself that I would return and walk up the Orme one day. A smashng day with the sun setting over Snowdonia and Anglesey.

Bagged trig after arriving in Llandudno at start of a memorable holiday with my dear wife. Clear day - able to see Isle of Man! Climbed it from St. Tudno's church car park.

Took a stroll to this one after a breakfast meeting in llandudno. I had done all the caches on the orm, but never went to the trig. Great 360 views from here and they even put a telescope there for you to use

fight through a maze of picnics. Ahhh the great outdoors-peace and tranquility. I recommend a midweek midwinter midnight visit, perhaps there won't be ostentatious kissing couples using the trig as a love-aid!!! perhaps i'm going home

Second visit, first around feb 2003. Very popular location, with lots going on. Bronze age Copper Mine, Cable car station, tram station, hotel/resturant, visitor center to mention but a few. In good condition, with a (non OS) metal plug.

Well kept, local leisure spot. Had an S with the number. Primary, Public area. Obviously local pride and joy, judging by superb condition. Go up by tram or by car or walk, well worth it

Very good viewpoint over Llandudno from by the side of the cablecar station. By car you have to pay a toll or pay the parking fee!
