There is a car park alongside the field in which the pillar is located. On the day of my visit it appeared that the crop in the field had been harvested. However, there was a tall fence topped with barbed wire in the way, and I didn't fancy the climb. From other logs it would seem that there is easier access from the main road. The pillar is clearly visible about 100 yards across the field, and appears to be in good condition.
