High fence by car park initially looked a problem but just needed to walk down to bridleway where fence missing! Middle of field trig. Plug missing, hole unfilled. Evidence of repair work to concrete at top of pillar.

There is a car park alongside the field in which the pillar is located. On the day of my visit it appeared that the crop in the field had been harvested. However, there was a tall fence topped with barbed wire in the way, and I didn't fancy the climb. From other logs it would seem that there is easier access from the main road. The pillar is clearly visible about 100 yards across the field, and appears to be in good condition. TP2134 TP2134 - Cheesefoot Head, from the field edge©Alan Grove

The Trig Pillar can be seen clearly from the road but didn't particularly fancy tresspassing over a field of crops - might have a go when crops have been harvested though. View from the road

Didn't go any closer than the car park as I was in the middle of a long walk and couldn't be bothered to be honest :) Could see the pillar very clearly from about half a mile away.

Is this a foot or a head? Rather windswept and dull in early Feb but at least easy access across very stony and unploughed field. Easily seen from road when no crops.

Mid field twilight walk before calling it quits and going to the B+B. Yes access at corner of main road and carbpark but vicious tight strung barbed wire as well. Last of 7 trigs and a geocache on the day

In more favourable weather conditions 270 degree view. Current condition of field - stubble has not been ploughed for winter wheat. Access from A272 via gap in fence adjacent to junction of field fence and that for Cheesefoot Head car park.
