This is about our 10-15th visit. Nice easy walk. Great to start from Roddlesworth Visitors centre (aka small cafe). Free parking.

I was up on a day trip to Blackburn and had come here via Fernhurst Hill trig pillar and Tockholes village. It was so windy on top that it was a battle to take photographs. Still, I can't complain as I was lucky enough to have the place to myself. After climbing up the tower I then made a hasty retreat down to Darwen.

Darwen Tower's / moors' trig point- not on the highest point ont' moor as the Tower was built there first {plus the highest point ont' moor is at Bewton end, bout trig !

Ice, snow drifts, rain, mist. Made a complete mess of getting up there, despite my GPS. Could not see a thing. Got my feet wet (Wrong boots). Just about see the tower, next to pillar. OK condition. No point in climbing the tower!
