TP0277 - Luppitt Common
Logged Visits:
Very overgrown in hedge, FB well buried in bank.
Parked in entrance to farm drive to NE, then walked back down road. TP not visible from road and only found by jump into field. Set into gorsey bank, top corner badly chipped, plastic cylinder for plug, old OS plaque, with FB buried too deep into E face in bank to be able to see number despite attempt at excavation. An unloved TP.
Top corner damage and plug replaced by a plastic disc. Set quite low in the hedge on field side. GH.
Dug out flush bracket but still dificult to read and photograph due to gorse.
tp hidden behind only bit of gorse on this bit of hedge
Very well hidden in the gorse bank. Initially had to go on the field side to find it (It was getting dark !) although it can be seen from the road. As mentioned, top has been damaged by hedge cutter.
3 of 4.Initially I couldn't see this one until I got on top of the bank.Chunk missing due to hedge flail.Flush bracket buried and well protected by gorse so was unable to expose it.
Top of this one looks as if it has been caught by a hedge trimmer. Is pretty buried in the undergrowth and we were unable to get the number off the flush bracket due to it being half buried.
Looks like the top has been caught by a hedge trimmer. Unable to get flush bracket number as is half buried.
plastic cap, top of trig chipped presumably by hedge trimmer. In hedge W side of road. FB E face, needed digging out.
Roadside, the flush is half buried and had nothing with me to dig it out.Going for slighly damaged as the hedge trimmer has done its usual job on the top .(see photo)
Dug out fb but gorse bush prevented seeing it so hope photos reveal the number. (Will update on uploading photos)
Partly buried in a Devon bank/hedge - could only just see the top of the flush bracket - a good spade would be require to reveal the number
Plug with indented lettering.
Off-white pillar in hedge bank, with FB buried. OS records suggest it is S3744.
