White pillar on long, flat ridge. The damage is slight & restricted to where the FB has been hacked out, plus an apparent attempt to burn out the plastic plug. Public. Access Land. Easily reached from Egerton, although the approach paths are muddy.

Walked up from Turton reservoir car park,very boggy.Trig in good nick,would not say it's damaged apart from fb missing,white painted,melting plug.Ok views,but a bit cloudy.

Parked at egerton hall very good track and waymarked path straight to this one.Trig has damage base is erroding away ashphalt plug is melting fb stolen,very good 360 views here only proper walk of the day a nice way to earn your 200th trig my team man city even beat utd real result allround!

The circle is north of the pillar, about 100m - nothing very obvious or special. I looked on the web - there is a second one close by - buried. Pillar still has no FB. Nice day, but wet underfoot

We were at this trig at the point of Nautical Twilight with around 40 other people taking part in the Solstice of the Stones Geocache Event , we sat my daughter on top of the trig and took the photo in darkenss

Came here with a group of geocachers celebrating the winter solstice event. Pillar looked to be in good condition but the soil around the base has been heavily erroded.

Accessible and visible. On public footpath but surrounded by water and mud. Pillar has been mutilated and flush bracket removed and that area is weathing badly. Otherwise pillar is not in too bad a condition. A very good view point of the surrounding countryside
