Not too difficult to find thanks to Captain Goretex directions. Not particularly interesting but worth bagging with Lollover Hill

Just checking. I stopped by a while back and someone had covered it up with earth (or worse !). It has now been unearthed again, thanks Tom !

I visited the site two months ago but was unable to find the station. Since then it has been nicely excavated and then subsequently hidden underneath a small pile of steaming manure. The block was very carefully exposed with the toe of my boot. The wooded slopes of Dundon Hill can be seen nearby to the northwest and to the east is the ridge of Great Breach and Copley Woods.

Having previously tried and failed and having seen others fail to turn this one up I returned with the appropriate sketch, measures and dibber and quickly located it under 4" of growth. Although this is now uncovered I enclose a photo of a simple transit in the event it becomes covered again, simply stand in the exact middle of the farm gate and the trig is in line with the footpath sign, enjoy!

Apples etc have now gone; you can see the spot where they were, but hey, still couldn't find it. Might be better when some of the grass has died away - need a shovel for this one I think !!

the apples are still there silently rotting down. I pushed them about a bit with the toe of my boot but soon decided to leave them be and move on. Returned on 02/03/08 and found the bolt exposed.

I found the location but a pile of rotting apples dumped on the spot didn't help the finding of the actual mark.
