TP3084 - Evesham Road Resr
Logged Visits:
Flat topped reservoir with no pillar, and no access
Probably no great loss, this one!
The Compound was unlocked at the time of my visit - so managed to have a good walk round and over the reservoir - definitely not here - Images shows GPS location.
Parked in layby on southbound side. Looked around the outside of the compound - nothing to see.
this reservoir was significantly expanded at sometime. perhaps it was then that the tp went.
good old severn trent!
Walked edges of compound i could get to,no sign .
Missing as the previous visitors said. Had to drown my sorrows in the Crown & Trumpet in Broadway!
It's on my old Landranger but not on my current Explorer map. However, as luck would have it, my visit co-incided with that of a Water Board van! The chap in the van vaguely remembered one being there but says he thought it went when they had some engineering done there in the 1980's [he thinks]. Anyway, it's definitely gone.
It may be hiding in the fortified reservoir enclosure, but I think its gone. No longer on the maps , the GPS suggested that it was atop the mound of a reservoir sdjacent to a BW. This was clearly visible and there was no pillar. Access not possible.
