No hills – no bogs – no heather – no gorse – no views. Easier than I thought from Burliegh Way – the fields have well used dog walking paths.

Yes, a tricky spot which requires a bit of hands and knees. Could hardly say this was a summit of any note.

Not one to attempt while there are leaves on the trees. Seriously buried in the hedge. There is ivy just starting to climb up the pillar which will make it even harder to spot in future! Took a lot of finding.

Easy this one as i only live on Heatherton Village.NO BUS REQ.Got picture of Flush Bracket with a little manouvering.Planning applications are in to build houses on this land next year .Its possible to be unreachable in two years.We went to meeting with builders and Council and of course we are all against this new development as they will also be building on the opposit side of Rykneld Road.

Parked in Burleigh Way & followed paths to trig, hole in hedge leaves bottom portion exposed but spring growth will make it harder to find.

Really difficult to read the plate, nice little walk to this one, i am sure if it was further into the summer it would be difficult spot

As others i parked in Burleigh way then over fields to this one lost in the Hedge managed to get the flush bracket with a clever operation of the camera and my arms to reach round

As others i parked in Burleigh way then over fields to this one - Pillar in good condition and almost lost in the hedge, image of flush bracket very easy as long as you are a contortionist!! Un-interesting location.

I also thought [like Rhayader Wanderer] that you might get to this from the main road. Wrong again!! So followed the route taken by others and found the pillar tightly against the hedge. You can get your hand round the feel the FB and, knowing the number in advance, you can confirm it by touch. Original plug with slightly-indented letters. Very overgrown and, if you didn't know it was there, you'd never find it!

Parked on Burleigh Way and walked around the edge of the field. It is totally buried inside the hedge at the back of houses. FB not visible from this side. Had to crawl to even touch it but looks in decent condition.

The Trig Point(flush bracket side) is covered by a fixed fencing panel. Very difficult to get a good photograph as the other 3 sides are covered by a hedge. We asked the owner of the house whose garden contains the trig point.

In a previous look for access from the cul-de-sac side, I'd met a neighbour who looked after the property where the pillar is sited. He was on his way out but gave me a 'phone contact to arrange this visit. Pillar is concealed by a lone fence panel from the garden side, but you can see over and around edges.

Deep in hedge - easy enough to find. FB facing fence but still accessible. Plug intact. Fence anchored to the pillar loops with barbed wire.

Well hidden in hedge, with FB against garden fence which involved a bit of crawling. Access is no problem as most of the field edges around here seem to be walked. Plug with indented lettering.

Easily accessed via footpath parallel to Burleigh Way, then along field edges. As others have indicated, this is a very shy pillar, not only hiding in the hedge, but with its FB facing away from the field. Pillar in good condition, complete with all metalwork. Nothing much is the way of views. Noisy A38 just across the field.

Easy Walk accross the fields from the gate at the top of Burleigh Way. It is very well hidden in a bush, but accessible (hands and knees), and appears to be in good condition. Note the flush bucket is very difficult to see because it is at the "back" of the pillar.

This shy trig could do with a little assertiveness training. Lookingmrb had a definite advantage with this one accessing the hidden flush bracket given his small stature and caving genes inherited from his parents. I did get my flush bracket picture but theres another pair of trousers in the wash now.

Still there hiding in the hedge. Got a decent photo of flush bracket and it is definitely 4009. Easy trig although you do have to leave footpaths.

Easy to get at through the next cul de sac toward Derby. A short deviation from the straight and narrow finds the pillar in a hedge between the field and the garden. The householder obviously does not like trig pillars and has placed a fence panel against it - guess what side! Got a stab at the number by squeezing an arm round with the camera. I think its 4009. I have a distinct feeling that the land hereabouts is going to get built on one day.
