Having just come down from Rippon Tor, this was an easy bonus trig. Using a previous finder’s photograph, it was easy to identify the location. It needed some re-excavating but it was quickly found. The surface block ©Pharisee

Of a little more significance to me than Erme Harrier - my 200th log since starting 18 months ago. I suppose I could have chosen a more auspicious one !

This is my first ever surface block and passive station visited. It would be nice to know how these are actually still used.
The surface block was a very easy find, it is on the grass verge close to where there is a cattle grid after the road branches off. The surface block ©The Hamian Explorers

Luckily this SB had recently been uncovered. Easy location off a major (for Dartmoor) road junction. Much better views from the nearby Rippon Tor (TP5689). The SB and my GPSr (looking straight down).©hollowing
