Clear day with great views in all directions. To the coast with Blackpool Tower, Big One & even the Lune Channel wind farm being visible albeit with binoculars, Burnley & Pendle Hill with its new white 1612 painted on it's side to commerate 400 years since the Pendle Witch Trials. Trough of Bowland etc. Superb!! Plug Missing!

Circuit clockwise from the north using the Burnley Way. Very wet underfoot and very misty - not the best day to visit what could be a good viewpoint!

Parked near Hameldon Woods, then walked through them and old quarry workings onto forzen moorland to summit in subzero temperature. Clear and sunny.

I approached this one from the East having just bagged Hameldon Common. The climb up the grassy, tussocky side of Great Hameldon is quite tough, I was reduced to walking in places. Trig is on the flat hilltop.
