Parked by mast to North then across couple of fields to pillar situated near strange collection of water authority buildings.Nice views.

strange position, by a wall and surrounded by Yorkshire Water equipment and buildings on one side and disused building and satellite dishes and assorted rusting machinery on the other.

Parked car to east of trig grid ref SK 27446 92768 cross uphill to trig on footpath near to water works.

Misty views. 5 grouse flew up on approach - nothing like a normal grouse habitat! The Astronomy equipment reported by others looks sad and abandoned as does the building

Easy walk up from Delph road.

Quite easily accessible and visible upon nearing. I used the path up from Delf Road [interestingly the stone stile is bench marked] leaving the path for the corner of the reservoir once the top of the pillar becomes visible. Need to climb a wall or a fence to reach. Not the best of locations being adjacent to reservoir perimiter fence and derelict building. Reasonable views though. Pillar in good condition with original plug with indented lettering.

Situated close to some hi-tech astronomy research equipment owned by Sheffield University. One of the more unusual locations for a trig point!
