From road to west today as sunshine improves but have done before from east after Moel y Gamelin 29/10/2000 before I knew about HuMPs. Still a few motor bikes on a breezy Friday.

nice walk up from the cafe,wet and very windy,trig badly damaged.

Parked at the cafe and walked the ridge and back again as part of an effort to get a bit fitter after not doing a great deal of walking over the sumer. Trig loking a bit sorry for iteself. A bit like me maybe.

Will be nice up here when the heather is out. Path a bit rough from the Ponderosa cafe but nice views.

Gets the 7 for the views. The approach is badly scarred by off roaders. Walk from due W at high point, followed track which links with the off roaders damaged track. The views stretch off to the NE with a wide scar of a track for 4x4 s. No would would think there are already hundreds of thousands of miles of roads for vehicles ( most so badly maintained that they are only suitable for 4x4s anyway!!) that they still have to drive up the hills.Anyway pillar is badly damaged with the flush half exposed.

Trig crumbling at FB level, metal cap, shallow letters. Wide track crossing heather summit, fine view. Fierce wind late p.m.

Top 100 ft in cloud so no views from trig - its severely damaged around base - cracks and plenty missing.

Walked here from the top of the Horseshoe Pass. Trigpoint is not in the best of condition at the base.

A good walk required to reach this TP from any direction and you are rewarded with great views 360°. Trig damaged at base but been recently repainted. Original plug still intact.

Normally excellent views of the Vale of Llangollen but at this time of visit visibility was only about 100m
