A grass verge on Larchmere View, pillar long gone.
Dark nights so a good time for a missing trig, went to junction of Latchmere Cross and Latchmere View and although an obvious point for a trig pillar there is no trig pillar. Found some interest in watching the planes come over descending to Leeds Bradford airport.
gone block of flats
Well, I live in the hi-rise council flats right opposite where this Trigpoint ought to be, its definetely not there as many other people have noted. A few times I have visited the area and even had a through rake around through the thick undergrowth but I cant even find the remnants of the post which is odd, but the ground here is thick with peoples garden trimmings which they've dumped here for donkey years, I had a look on an old 1967 map and the trig point is definetely there. I was thinking about rebuilding a dummy version out of concrete and moulding the FB / Spider etc into it then painting it one weekend - is it illegal to do this though?
Log #53. (105m). First visit 09/06/10. Revisited today for photos. Don,t know why this is missing, it shouldn,t be; its a wooded area. So no trig, grand views of hi-rise council apartment blocks, so low score!
Agree with John Bamforth in that theres no obvious reason why the pillar shouldnt still be there. No view today as the summer vegetation blocks even the view of the nearby flats.
Knew it wasn't there so not dissapointed
Nothing to see
Council type estate with blocks of flats. Visited Whitecote first and then onto this one. Bare in mind that the lane from Whitecote over the canal and railway is a no through road.
Nettles and No Tipping.
concur no evidence left
Still not there! Would have been near the junction of Latchmere Cross and Latchmere View above the Ring Road, with views northwards.
Long gone.
