Brilliant views from up here. The pillar was painted white but the paint is now quite chipped. Unfortunately some graffiti is visible on it. Nice trig though in a great location

Stopped off on way back to the NE of England. Walked along Pennine way. Carried on to Waystone Edge, not to be recommended after rain as it is particularly boggy. I will go with slightly damaged but damaged is a little overkill in my opinion.

I would say this is White Hill rather than Moss Moor, which this is an outer satelite of. Anyway, cracking views towards Black Hill, Alphin Pike, Bleaklow, Kinder, Axe Edge Moor, Manchester too. A great but very tiring trek from Marsden, went onto bag Blackstone Edge, and Dog Hill Trigs, you can follow the mywrite up of this walk by tapping Fell Finder into Google, cheers.

Damage more than slight - chunk out of one side & many surface cracks. Also some graffiti scratched into the whitewash. Plastic plug painted over. Public. Access Land. Easy walk from Standedge along Pennine Way. Superb scenery of open moorland all around.

Log #25. (466m). Logged while doing linear 13km walk along Pennine Way from White House pub near Blackstone Edge Resr to Marsden via Willykay Clough. Fab views from here with Jodrell Bank telescope visible in the far distance. Stormy weather today. Centre plug missing from pillar.

After bagging 3 nearby geocaches, stumbled upon this trig - bonus. Brilliant views, although dark skies threatened rain. Still the odd patch of snow in some nearby gullies. Trig painted white.

from the lay-by on the A672,easy walk on the pennine way,unusual in that it had a beefburger on the top,across the moor from here to the Calderdale ua top, the moor ifself pretty dry compared to earlier walks today on Holcombe and Rooley moors.

Very battered looking trig with some obvious recent damage - large chunk of the top now lying on the ground nearby. Very misty visit with no visibility, the only notable thing being this was my 100th pillar!

Tigged on a Windy Hill-Rishworth-Marsden-Windy Hill walk. Moss Moor had just had a brief snowstorm. Badly erroded, plug missing and paedophile graffiti too offensive to photograph on NE side. Altogether a sorry state of affairs for a waypoint on the Pennine Way.

Trig is in a poor state of repair. Close to Windy Hill radio mast and the high point of the M62 as it crosses the Pennines. Known as White Hill on the Pennine Way.

This is White Hill, a fair way from Moss Moor and sat right on the Pennine Way. It's a bit bleak and the trigs suffering (but still surviving) but a good walk from Marsden to Toddy (Todmorden) or Hebden Bridge passes this trig just before reaching the M62. Visited again 3rd July 2005 and on this clear day the views were pretty good. And again 07/04/2007. And again 05/08/2007 No cars, on foot.

Badly damaged; ends of spider exposed; top liable to collapse before long. M62 heard but not (yet) seen. Pennine Way much easier here than it used to be.

Nice sunny day ... 15 mins along Pennine Way from layby just S of M62 J22 on the A672. A bit battered but still there. GPSr gave coords as N53.36.910 W2.00.936 and elevation as 470m

A White Hill to follow the Black Hill on this day on the Pennine Way. Foul day and deep bogs. This was the era of the popularity of the route and before path improvements. Black Porridge! The white of course probably refers to bog cotton.
