Glorious day. Walked from Alwinton, past Shillmoor and up the quad bike track onto Shillhope Law. After some wonderful views all around, I descended northwards then down to the Usway Burn and Shillmoor. Still a superb hill with a feel of isolation. Lots of military repairing flood damage.

Great walk up despite the nearby gun fire on the ranges but seems we weren't the targets or they're bad shots. Strange little wall around the trig which has some grafitti on it despite being a good hours walk uphill from the nearest road.

Bagged this after Linbrig trig. Was due to do Bloodybush Edge and Wether Cairn but there was lots of very low cloud (about 500m) and rain. Nevermind, Shillhope cleared for a short time and I climbed it. Usually good views to the big Cheviot tops but not today! Easy climb to top via Inner Hill from Shillmoor and ground was damp but not impassable. Trig ok apart from some old grafitti. Good shelter cairn surrounding trig.

Great tp after a fairly long but easy ascent. Great views from the top, which can be a little boggy after wet weather but does not present any problems. TP is surrounded by a large cairn. Best way to get to tp is from Shillmoor Farm via a grassy track.

Tatty pillar, this must be a popular point for grops to visit, pillar is grafittied and there is a lot of litter about. Concrete plug replacement. Quite Urban looking, strange in the midst of a fine short hillwalk. As expected from its position, a good viewpoint for the main Cheviot ridge. No firing at Otterburn today.
