It's interesting because it's in a school playing field. Its only just making the grade of "Good" condition now, and the top eyelet holes look as though they have been plugged badly with play-doh!... well I suppose it is a school after all.
Revisit for pics. Drove in, much the same as 6 years ago. A few minutes later, after several turnings, en route to the old town centre (in search of S085), I found myself driving along ... Sish Lane!
Drove virtually right to this on a Sunday afternoon so no problems with access. vgc with asphalt cap. School field views
Easy access after school hours. Trig well cared for
School field location no one around at 7 in the morning - good condition, tarmac type plug
No problem with this one today as it was a Sunday managed to drive within 100Ft of it. I bet there aren't many schools that can claim they have a trig point in their playing field, not a bad location.
This T/P is located in the grounds of a school for disabled children in Stevenage. I wasn’t sure I was going to get this one. There was a grounds man mowing the grass so I spoke to him and he very kindly showed me round the back of the school to the T/P. It’s in good condition with a resin plug. Views are what you would expect with the T/P being in enclosed school grounds.
OK, so how dodgy did I look; late afternoon and there I am - wondering around a school playground with a camera ! Well would have been OK once but now in this crazy world !! Anyway, no problems, bagged the trig, my case comes up next month :-)
Stopped in school car park but made no further attempt to reach the trig
Next to Lonsdale school. Entrance in Webb Rise
vgc, resin plug, on grass in school grounds - drove in Sat a.m., not fenced or gated |
