Hopped over gate then short easy walk to pillar.Only 1 horse in attendance which ignored me.ok views.

on a hillock in a private field with horses in. Couldn\'t get close enough to see the base plate number.

An easy walk up from the road.

Very visible from road but only accessible if one is prepared to trespass [nowhere obvious to ask permission]. Several signs indicating Private & No Footpath. Being so close and only needing to climb a gate it seemed a shame not to go for it - which I did! Expansive views over Sheffield from this hill top location. Pillar in excellent condition with original plug with indented lettering. [Only took five minutes and not challenged]

Easy access over wall to NE of trig reduces the need to climb the hill

Pillar, in field at Grenoside, guarded by horse. Getting to the FB required other members of the family to distract the beast while I dashed up.
