My second attempt to find this pillar which is completely surounded by dense trees.
vgc; resin plug broken;by narrow SW-NE ride hard to find; mystery package on top ! - thick pltn@summit with TP on narrow SW-NE ride;felled to W mar03
Trig pillar in good condition, but no OS plug. Flush bracket faces southwest. This primary station at the summit of Hill of Trusta once had interupted lines of site with four neighbouring primaries: Brimmond Hill, Bennachie, Mount Battock and Wuddy Law. This pillar had proved very difficult to find and very dark to photograph. It will come as little surprise that this primary was never elevated to GPS status. This location can easily be reached on foot from Stonehaven. The hard part is hunting out the trig pillar, but the madman with the Allen key got there before me. Visited and photographed 2/08/2000, GRP.
