Has to be one of the most isolated trig points in the Peak District. Visited it after some very dry weather so the trek to it from Bleaklow Stones wasn't the usual bog-hopping exercise.

Walked up from Fairholmes, past Alport Castles, along the lovely path along the edge. Bit misty, very windy, quite boggy and trig surrounded by its own little defensive moat. Trig and moat ©Lone Walker

This is probably the most remote pillar in the Peak District. Walked past Alport Castles, then back via the north and down to the Reservoirs. 12 miles! Good condition, original plug, public West End Moor pillar
