Minor damage to top metalwork, otherwise vgc. Apparently no GPS plaque unless its buried. E verge, 2m L of gate, 2m back from road edge, at foot of low bank. Already covered by grass but easily found thanks to previous log.

Overcast day and so views. Eventually found this FBM 2 metres to the left of the farm gate.

Cornwall. Spent time looking in slightly the wrong place at first, not realising it was so near the gate.

Still couldn't find it. Had a copy of the OS diagram with me so was able to reach the correct spot. But it was very overgrown. However, it was good to see from dal's log that it does still exist. I'll have to try in the winter if the opportunity arises.

Success. I thought if I visited at this time of year when the undergrowth had died back, I might have more joy. I was not disappointed. Armed with a tape measure and the OS sketch, we worked out where it should be and started delving - and there it was, somewhat buried, but in good condition. We left it clear, but I am sure it will not be long before it is re-covered. Boscastle FBM

I had no joy. Since the OS photo was taken, the verge has become very overgrown with brambles etc.

Searched high and low, no sign of anything, found a nice rock though! (just to the left of the gateway on the left of the road, heading towards Boscastle) [see photo]

My GPSr took me to the spot where the FBM should be, but the grass was too long to locate the block. I didn't have the OS details with me so I couldn't work out the exact spot. However, there is no reason to suggest that it isn't there. Site of TP7153 The marker is probably on the left in the long grass against the hedge.©Alan Grove
