Walked by it, rather than climbed up to it, having visited it many times before. Done as part of a long circular walk. Looks like it has had another coat of paint. Looking up at Back Tor ©peakwalker

Fantastic early morning views all round, someone has very carefully stencilled on the pillar \'FitzWilliam Estates Kill Red Kites\'
An instruction or an observation ? Either way they have defaced an historic artefact to communicate the message. One pot calling a kettle if you ask me!

Good condition, although could do with another lick of paint but it still stands out from a few mile away, very good trig point position on the high gritstone tors, which involves a slight scramble up, but be careful when its windy!! as it was very when I went up there, couldnt let go of the trig.

Precarious trig high on gritstone outcrop, shone like a beacon for mile or two before I got to it. Very very windy on my visit and nearly got blown off.
