nice place for a walk - the restauarnt at the end is very good.
thought for a moment it wasn't there - didn't seem to be in the same place as it looked on the map. Found it though.
Awesome views today, as far a sPortsmouth. Bagged after a visit to the Weald and downland museum which is recommended.
We cycled around the ring and thought it was puzzling there was no trig here. we checked the map - a one:gazillion map provided by the British Heart foundation for the ride in June. No trig mentioned, although that may not be important. We sat down, drank red bull and ate an energy bar and saw it just over the way. Doh. Ambled over on the bikes before heading back down the Hill to Cocking where we'd left the car. Would have been fantastic views on a clear day. there was a plane doing aerobatics to watch though.
Easiest one of the day! Riding the South Downs Way to train for the British Heart Foundation ride in June. getting some Trigs and caches as an excuse for rests!
I missed this on the way down the hill (going too fast on my bike :-) and it was almost missed on the way back up when I realised it wasn't going to be an easy bag. This is a tough hill to ride up. Views would be good, but it was very hazy today.
Easy find, but fater cycling up here on the SDW, the extra few 100ft were very hard as the SDW skirts the tip without reaching it.
Visited today during a cycle ride along the SDW. No view today - although fine it was very hazy.
Up here cycling - training for the South Downsd way Randonnee. Great views today, very sunny.
Bagged this one while cycling the South Downs way as training for the South Downs Way Randonee in June. Good views and a welcome rest!
Awesome views on Sunday - up here training for a South Downs Way Randonee in June.
bagged this while doing Brews and Views 2 - forgot to log it...
great trigpoint - bagged while doing the local caches
Raining. Found it, no views both becuase of the weather and the rain on my glasses. I'm sure it's lovely! Condition Ok though.
bagged this one while out Mountain biking - it's leaning over, with plenty of signs of badgers nearby. The view 'through the trees' is less os at this time of year!!
awesome views - bagged while mountainbiking. Got over 70kph going down the hill towards QE country park!!
Bagged this while getting Brews and Views cache.
Easy one this, just hopped over the gate.
Took the same route, walked up the hill from the farm entrance. The bridleway had been freshly trimmed so was quite passable, it looked like it had been very overgrown. The field inside the fort was planted with young crops, so I took a photo which I'll download another time from the, er "ramparts" of the castle.
Nice spot this - you get used to being in the middle of a field. |
