Had a 45 minute wait between trains at Lancaster station so took the opportunity to collect a few Intersected Stations. Cathedral spire is quite impressive. Looks very slender. Steve C for HCU3A

The Cathedral Church of St Peter (aka Lancaster Cathedral). Beautiful Grade II listed Roman Catholic Cathdral, built between 1857 and 1901. All good with the spire, which is absolutely enormous (240 feet tall). There is a cut benchmark on a buttress (W side W face), and another cut benchmark on a gatepost to the east of the cathedral (n face)

One of eleven trigs bagged in the Lancaster Morcambe area, on the way to Kendal. This was the sixth. Parked on side street near Williamson Park and walked to the cathedral. A nice building but probably the least impressive cathedral I've seen. Nice CBM.

Decided to walk the canal from Kendal to Lancaster, finishing at the cathedral. The CBM is to the right of the main door (if facing) under a blue sign. Very nice city. Gifted to folk who drop empty poo bags on the floor and are too lazy to pick them up...I do it for you and hence never have to buy any.
