2nd visit - Passing by so a quick stop off to take a Grid Ref reading, which was, pleasingly, spot on. Otherwise, nothing new to report. ~~ 17/09/21 Visiting just a month after the block was last logged I was hopeful Chris would have left the block unburied and easy to find, and indeed he had. It only took a minute or two to spot it in the long grass, distracted initially by a couple of decoy molehills! We have left it exposed for the next Trig Baggers. Extensive views from up here, this is a glorious and remote part of Northumberland, well worth a visit. Makes you wonder how grand the views from near-by Fourlaws Hill pillar were like before it got buried by a plantation...

View South ...and line it up with the bushy tree on the S of the wall over the road...
View West ...and finally draw a straight line following the wall running along the N side of the road to the W, you'll be spot on!

OS Sketch correct, but the small pullin has been used by road contractors who have left piles of gravel and debris around the site. Stan Toon we left a small marked pole next to the block, better luck next time.

no problem locating it; the block was uncovered on a tussocky verge. It is in line with the fence along the north side of the road running SW, and with the old wall line across the field to the SE (see my pictures, blue umbrella marks the spot).... so fancy business with tapes isnt needed. The nearby fence post 10.53m north of the block, marked as P/N IN POST on the OS sketch, has a stud hammered into its top surface. The pink spray paint has gone.
