Staying in Lochcarron on a weeks walking holiday with a group of walkers from my home town. I felt privileged to be here and complete the 3 Torridon giants. We went in a CW with the stone pillar perched on Tom na Gruagaich (M) a ridge traverse to Sgurr Mhor (M) then scrambled over the Horns of Alligin. What a superb introduction to Torridon and the weather of 2025 is gifted Ben Alligin....2025 will be a year to remember for sun, heat, blue skies, views and in parts no rain for nearly 3 months.

Car park for Beinn Alligin is by south side of unclassified road at NG868576. Keeping west of the river "Abhainn Coire Mhic Nobuil", the steep path rapidly gives altitude to the bealach cairn (NG858601) to the west side of Tom Na Guagaich, the first Munro, and the trig pillar. A short steep climb leads to the rocky summit. Stone built pillar in good condition. Spider centre open. Flush bracket faces ESE, compass measurement 120°. Vented through right sight hole. The 360° panorama was lost to mist. Returned down to the bealach cairn to the west and continued north then east around the Alligan ridge to the main summit and second Munro on Sgurr Mor at NG864612. Descended via Na Rathanan completing the mapped loop back to the car park.

Very frightening visit as I was caught in a violent thunderstorm, still the worst I have seen in the Highlands, only one I have been in since was on Triglav (si) At least there are no wires on here.
