(1121) Grade II* listed St Mary's Swillington. The newer sooty looking gritstone tower stands out from the older main body of the church. CBM found low down on the S face of the tower.

In Swillington so just had to have a look at the church. Found the Cut Mark and now see that the tower has been used by OS as an Intersected Station. Church and tower in very good condition and still retains a flagstaff.

SE44 T093 CENTRE, FLAGSTAFF and BOLT. St Marys. Access to bolt not sought. Cut BM south face of tower. A very old church with a more recent tower addition.
