Walked from the Railway Station while on holiday in the area. I only had a paper map with me so headed towards Brick Kiln Farm. There was nobody about to ask permission to cross the private land and no obvious right of way to the pillar. Disappointed, I turned around to retrace my steps back to catch the train.

A trig on the corner of a path, entered via Kives Farm, which you can cut through to Brick Kiln Farm. A trig that is very easy to get too, just of the A259/A27. Another great find!

Well from what I could see from previous posts this looked easy. I got to where the path between the fields should have been only to find no path as it was just head high brambles and nettles. I gave it a good go but in the end I gave up. My legs are still burning from all the nettle stings some 4 hours later and I was wearing long trousers! What I don’t understand is that the pictures posted by previous baggers look like nothing I could see and I was using a GPS device!

All-Sussex Covid Project #87. This was a good one. These were different Covid times and I was braver. We were going to the theatre in Chichester. I still was not following the logs attentively but I had figured out how to read the map better and realized the only way into what was a winery was via a road leading to the sea from Chichester. Lots of fencing: there could be only one way in. Posy dropped me off and I jumped over the fence and started walking among the vines. Just kept going, following T:UK until I found it. It was getting dark. I was a little nervous but I got the picture and got back without incident. Never saw a soul. Can’t remember what the theatre was.

Second trig point of the day. Walked from Lavant through Summersdale and past Theatre, onto Bognor Road, over footbridge then a short way along the Mundham Road, enter field on left, no activity being a Sunday, looks like a market garden. Pillar is in a field boundary. No particular views.

I had to cycle across Chichester to get to this, my last trig of the day. Who put in the cycle lanes that are actually MORE dangerous then cycling on the road? At location I walked up to some farm hands in a makeshift shed and asked if they knew where the Trig was. They weren't surprised by me being there but didn't have a clue what I was on about. I found it about 10m away, by the port-a-loo. All in order but not very exciting. Now to find the car. Need the A/C on a day like today!
