Out at 05:30 & back in post a 197 mile 'round trip' from Salford, Manchester after a four trig forage. Bryn locyn, Tal y Fan, Cefn Cyfarwydd & Pen-y-Gwaith...For Bryn Locyn parked on-road facing the Coed y Felin side road GR 78112 77258 & wallking down the road 'took' a right. Passing thro' a kissing-gate accessed the ladder-stile ahead to 'take' a right, emerging from the path at the end of the wood to veer right across fields up onto the trig. A herd of cattle well left me alone on ascent but for some reason were bothersome on the way down. For Tal y Fan parked off-road in a fairly large clearing at GR 72056 71534 designated a parking area on the OS map. 'Jumping the stone wall proceeded steeply uphill 'sticking' to the right hand side of the wall to Foel Lwyd from whence a path was followed alongside the wall 'heading' East up onto the trig...A relatively arduous trek 'made' all the more difficult consequence of a well gusty wind. For Cefn Cyfarwydd parked off-road to the left of a cattle grid at GR 75924 64052 & crossing over the road followed the fence initially North then East up onto the trig. Both trig & view were magnificent, the trig built of individual blocks & the view of the back end of the terminal Welsh 15. For Pen y Gwaith off-road parked at the forestry car park GR 78113 60096 & proceeding up the slope towards the mine ruins, continued steeply upwards following the steps. Along forestry tracks & thro' some dense forest guided by Etrex numbers, this trig 'took' some finding. Bothersome cattle on Bryn locyn, having 'taken' a left atop of the mine ruins, a small, well viscous black dog appeared from a residency right accompanying me some way along the permissable track only to be deterred by my lobbing a large boulder at it...No doubt in my mind the dog is 'let loose' as a gesture of distaste for walkers. All in all a well tough mornings 'trigging' made non the easier by narrow, high-hedged country lanes many having central reservations of grass. The drive up to parking for Cefn Cyfarwydd involved a double disembarking of the car to open & close gates across cattle grids with the road upto them being well steep with umpteen twists & turns, a drive which, the fear of an oncoming vehicle aside, I most enjoyed.

A one hour walk from Llandudno Junction railway station. Worth every step on this glorious day. Steep climb up the field then beautiful path through a sunlit oak wood. The white pillar standing in the bluebells and buttercups was a great sight.

1 of 2 today. On a visit to N Wales, Llandudno being the base. Visted Conwy, taken by surprise by the size of the castle and its walls. Bagged the trig on a hot, short walk from the town. It's on a hillock adjacent to the ariel mast. Suprisingly good 360 deg views all round. On to the Conwy FBM nearby.

I had a couple of hours to spare before darkness sets in so I did a circular walk from YHA Conwy. The huge mast gives the trigs location away and it is very easy access on PRoW to reach, its sitting on a bit of a "hump" (visible from YHA kitchen). This might be the one and only trig to be visited in the next 10 days despite travelling the length of Wales - on the volunteers team for the Dragons Back Race. Busy busy. Gifted to the British male and female who dominated and won the Ultra Trail Monte Rosa 2021 today.

Parked in Conwy near the castle and followed footpath from main road. Steep pull up hill initially but then flattened out. Pillar a little way off the path but no gates to climb. Brilliant views to be had here all round.

Dear all, I have joined here due to my concerns for my neighbour who resides at Bryn Iocyn farm. I'm disgusted that people should publish comments encouraging others to drive on to private property, park in a gateway to a transmitter that is also private property, then most likely snoop round the farm yard after realising no one's home, then climb fences of private property to get to a trig point. The "ROW" to Bryn Iocyn is a public FOOT path, no access for vehicles is permitted, all access to the transmitter is actually owned by the farmer. Anyone I catch with vehicles parked in this property with the excuse of visiting the trig point will be photographed and reported to the police as persons who I suspect to be attempting to burgle the property. The property owner has no objections to people visiting the trig point, but please be respectful while doing so.

Drove up the track to the farm. Asked for permission but no one around. Over a couple of fences and up the hill to the pillar. Very good views on the third of three successive beautiful days in Wales!

Easy to find but not easy to park. Stopped half way up the lane to the south in a larger than usual passing place. Walked rest of way then down a track past the large mast. Walk past a farm, through a gate and trig on small hill to the right. Great views over Conwy and the estuary.

I was given a lift this day to Llandudno Junction and then came up here after passing by Conwy Castle. It was a bright spring morning and both sides of the Conwy Valley looked stunning. The next trig pillar of the day would be Prenol, so I faced a lengthy walk inland to cross the river at Tal-y-cafn. On this sort of a day though it was a complete pleasure.

I was around Conway & Llandudno geocaching when I spotted this one a short walk from the road. I'd just enough light left to go visit it at the end of the day. Well worth the walk as the views over the bay are excellent

A vgc pillar. The public pathways up to the pillar are good but steep in some places. Very good view from top,although a bit overcast during my visit. There is a large mast nearby.

Its unusual for me to give such a low lying trig such a high score but the view from this one is something spacial - straight down the Conwy valley. That together with the sunshine and the feeling of having had a good walk in the Carneddau mountains made the endorphin level pretty high.

A lovely spot, this - on a grassy hill above Conwy with a lot of interested sheep. The plug is missing but otherwise it's fine. There is quite a reasonable amount of paint on the SW/NW faces. The NE sighthole is open, the others closed. The concrete base is exposed but flush with the nibbled grass. Great views N over the coastline; views to the S restricted. There is an obelisk nearby and the burnt ground by the pillar suggest a beacon fire up here, possibly for the Trafalgar celebrations? Lovely spot!
