Start of Ben Chonzie round from Glen Turret carpark. With small wind shelter at fence junction. Path most of way. Soft recent snow.

From Turret Dam car park up E slope of Carn Turret on faint track. Rougher over to Carn Turret SW top. Picked up good path near fence to Carn Chois & on to Ben Chonzie. Obvious path up & down Biorach a Mheannain. Steeply down to NE reservoir track back to dam. 20km 868m climb on very dry ground in warm sun.

Parked at Loch Turret dam and followed track by south-west side of reservoir, this becomes a path after a while and ascends relatively steeply to the the great little summit. We continued along ridge towards Ben Chozie, Biorach a' Mheannain and down other side of reservoir back to car. Not many people about. Great sunny spring-like conditions but no wind so rather hazy. Patches of snow still about.

Trig point visited whist walking a circular route over Ben Chonzie from the Loch Turret Dam car park. Great views from it's elevated position above Loch Turret especially with today's good weather. Pillar slightly damaged on top corner otherwise in good condition & certainly worth a visit!

This was originally meant to be the main hill for the day but as conditions were not as bad as they could have been we also went for Ben Chonzie in addition too.

Yeah nipped over for this from Ben Chonzie just before midday when views where much better. Just a small boggy section down the valley below but easily negotiated. Pillar is slightly damaged the top east corner

Wasps nest among rocks behind pillar, so flush bracket photography a bit scary.

Slight damage to top edges, asphalt plug. Visited as part of a circuit of Glen Turret including Auchnafree Hill & Ben Chonzie .

Approached from Crieff. Up via Glen Turret dam and Beinn Liath. Rocky summit on big open hill. The pillar is in fairly good general order, but frost ingression is causing the top surface to start coming away. Spider centre plugged with bitumen. Flush bracket faces southwards, compass measurement 188°. Vented through RHS sight hole. Views include Arthurs Seat and Allermuir Hill. Continued to Ben Chonzie, paths all the way.

Great views down the length of the Loch. Had a beer in the distillery pity has been change to new setup, but Towser still there.

A much better viewpoint than the parent hill, Ben Chonzie. Very easy walk over from Chonzie. Hares out in force as usual in Glen Turret. Lots of other interesting wildlife as well, like a party of dotterel passing through. Views over Strathearn, as expected. Attempts to see Edinburgh Castle with glasses failed, but I did get to see Wester Hailes. Views to Largo Law, Lamermuirs, Pentlands, Arthur's Seat, Tinto.

On the way to Chonzie, easy rising traverse from the car park at the loch.
