There is a flagstaff here though maybe not the original which is recorded as destroyed '66 .

OS have as destroyed but it's up there. Bolt not investigated. St John the Baptist. Grade I Listed. Square tower, mainly of C14 date although the base may be earlier; the crenellated parapet was added in 1712. the belfy stage, which is slightly narrower, has Y-traceried openings.
