Car park on west side B4424, then followed track heading slightly north then west and aimed for high ground. Slightly over enthusiastic as ended up on the west edge of the hill, wandered around woods for a few minutes then traced the edge of the woods heading east. Then spotted pillar on slightly lower ground than the high ground to the west. In a bit of a state. Leaning noticeably, therefore logged as damaged. Looks like it is used as target practice for mud slinging. Cap missing. Reasonable views to west although murky conditions at the time.

Last of twelve on a very productive, beautiful, and exhausting day around the Malverns. And this was a nice easy one to finish on - convenient roadside car park; clearly defined path across a park straight to the trig; and the walk was short and the incline gentle. Trig in good nick, with the remnants of a white paintjob still in evidence.

Easy car park close by and short walk up to a pleasant little trig pillar. Slight off white paint colour to it, missing cap but otherwise good condition in a rather nice location with view to Worcester cathedral. Views towards the Malverns obscured by trees. Flying ants around today!

parked at the nearby old Hills car park and walked to the trig point,about .4 of a mile. Clear day if somewhat overcast. Good virews of Worcester and cathedral to the north east and can see malvern hills through trees to the west. Pillar in good condition.

Pleasant situation at top of Old Hills Common, sometimes used for small orienteering events.

Central plug missing, otherwise OK and fairly recently repainted. Views N/S/E good but view W to Malvern obscured by trees and probably not visible in summer. By pure chance, as I logged this pillar, I met a man who had spent 20 years working for the O.S. erecting trig points!! There is now virtually nothing I don't know about how they are put together - and I also learned some fascinating information about flush bracket numbers! Incidentally, the information on the trig -point listing, which is now on the website used to be sold by the O.S.!!

I have had this pillar as an orienteering control. Old Hills is a very enjoyable place to visit.
