Walked up from Singer station and will be heading on to Duncolm in a short bit. Cloud down on the surrounding hills but hopefully shall gradually lift as the day goes on.

North from Dalmuir Station. Over a footbridge then through a housing estate, continued uphill until reaching an opening onto a recreation ground. Pillar just beyond the brow of the highest point. Raised S prefix on FB number. Good views to west.

Parked on the A810 near the filling station and walked up the steps to the park. Trig is easy to access and slightly damaged.

Easy to access urban Trig. Parked at the shops on the junction of Kilbowie Road & Glasgow Road. Walked across at the roundabout and up into the park past a display for the Roman Fort and Antonine Wall. The pillar looks a little worse for wear and has fallen victim to paint and graffiti.

Parked at the shops on Kilbowie Road. Crossed road, then easy walk to trig which is damaged although it looks quite cool wirh graffitti paint. Part of the Antonine way, so interesting Roman figures and information board.

Parked in housing estate further on towards Erskine bridge, bit tricky as the closest roads are no entry. Quick, easy ascent past Roman site signs. Trig with graffiti. Watch out for the large number of 'dragon soup' cans in the bushes - must be a breeding colony.

Parking on the road to the N then easy stroll up, urban area, pillar a little knocked about and covered in graffiti (not surprisingly) not the greatest views.

Log #330. Parked in the estate to the south, then a very quick walk past the flagpole to the pillar. Covered in graffiti and with the top chipped, but the cap is surprisingly still attached. [ExP-238/MiP-28/Rev-2/BM-21/IS-31/Other-10]

Short walk up to this urban trig on Golden Hill, site of Duntocher Fort on the Antonine Wall. Small area of open access land surrounded by housing estates. Sad to see it's condition, covered in grafitti, top screed chipped off at the edges. Otherwise pillar is ok and even has its original cap with deeply indented lettering; all sight holes open.

Excellent condition pillar considering its urban location. Spider and cap present. FB intact facing east-ish. All sights open but blocked internally. Some slight damage to the top's edges. Decent views despite the murkiness of the day.

Second visit. For photographs and GPS reading. SITE VISIT: In a public park. Goldenhill Park, Duntocher. Pillar covered in graffiti but otherwise good for where it stands. Spider retains replacement OS centre cap with deep indented letters. Flush bracket faces east, ~85°. All sight holes open, innards blocked with debris.

public park was once the site of a roman fort. graffiti in keeping with the lovely council houses adjoining the park. decent view of the kilpatrick hills though. trig a little north of the highest point on this small bump, so probably only visible at any significant distance from the north.

First visit. To record FB number. HISTORY Pillar completed 28th January 1946 costing £4.8s.2d. Computed as tertiary triangulation station NS77/T128 in the Glasgow secondary block during 1947. The flush bracket was levelled for height to first class precision, tertiary standards in 1969. This pillar station was last maintained by the OS in July 1982. SITE VISIT In a public park. Goldenhill Park, Duntocher. Trig 10 of 12 for the day. Anti-clockwise walking route starting and finishing at Glasgow Queen Street station.
