Walked up a good windfarm track from the minor road to ESE, parking at track/road junc (NJ 3666 4683). Then last ~300m over rough heather. Pillar retains original centre cap, deeply indented lettering; front and LHD side sight holes open. Moderate views, blocked to N by conifer plantation.

Second visit. For photographs and GPS readings. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains original OS cap with deep indented letters. Flush bracket faces southwest, ~217°. Vented through NW and SE sight holes. View spans 292° from NE through south to NNW. More blurb to follow.

Really surprised it's been nearly ten years since this one has been visited and a how much has changed since the last visit. Both sides of the hillside on either side of the road are now covered in wind turbines, the plus point being a very easy track to Turbine 21 and then 200m across the heather for an easy bag.

Visited to record FB number. The pillar was completed 10th May 1953 costing £19.7s.0d. Later in 1953 this marker was computed for triangulation as secondary station NJ45/4 in the Elgin block. The flush bracket was levelled for height also in 1953. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in July 1973. Heather clad top.
