Bike commute home. Decided to call at the farm, but there was no one about to ask permission, wandered around the yard to find someone, but all was quiet. So I went through the open gate just by the mast, plodded around the oozing manure pile to find the trig buried in the hedge, behind barbed wire amongst a scattering of old tin baths. Lovely weather though, for a change.

A different approach...From the North. Park on Jenny Lane near the post box, exit the lane right & crossing the road take a left onto Foden Lane. A very short way up take a left over a gated stile & follow the fench to your right bearing left to the mast which is clearly visible top left corner from the gated stile. The trig is pretty much in front of the mast albeit a little hidden with the flush bracket 'your' side. Easy parking, easy access with no permission necessary.
