3/3 from Cefnllys. Llandrindod Golf Course, Gilwern Hill and then via PROW onto Llandegley Rocks. Bit of a pull up but worth it for the views. Can see all the way to the Beacons and Fans. Trig is in good condition with spider and FB intact.

First pillar of the day on a cold and windy walk from Llandegley over to Llandrindod. Parked by the church in Llandegley and followed the pleasant path through the churchyard and up the hill.

Only a shame our welsh weather was poor as the 360 view at the top would have been amazing, I recon I would have been able to see the next trig! The climb was great up from Llandegley church yard

Walked up from church. Lovely hill with amazing 360 views. A few cracks in pillar. There are 2 old aerials nearby. Sunny on ascent, rain on descent.

Had to make a return visit on this brilliant blue calm sunny day. Searched for the Ring Ouzel without luck. Has anybody spotted this blackbird here? Or even nearby.

Same view four days later than previous one Fantastic clarity. See to Plynlimon in the NW and all the Cambrian Range round to the Brecon Beacons SSW©[email protected]

Lost track of how many times I have driven past and thought about climbing up here so took advantage of a dry couple of hours to do so. If walking from the village the bridleway is accessed via the churchyard not the house that looks likely on the 25k map

no cap, narrow horizont crack 1/3 of way from top, probable poor construction joint, also slight crack by spider - fine shapely hill, nice summit, lovely view

Quite a hike up here but the pillar is fine except that the central plug is missing. It's got traces of paint on the South and East faces and is in overall good condition. It is adjacent to a large cairn which is presumably the origin of its name. Very good all round views.
