Parked just into Thankerton as double yellow lines on main road. The toppled FBM is a bit hard to spot and may soon be covered in grass.

Dismayed to find that it has been toppled. It's still there at the moment hidden in the long grass.

Busy road, wide verge. There were temporary traffic lights that helped with the safety aspect. FBM looked a bit sorry for itself.

Parked up in Thankerton then walked along to the busy A73 that thankfully has a wide verge. FBM easily found in the wet field. It has had a knock or two but is still reasonably sound. Good view of two favourites: Quothquan Law and Tinto. Snow showers driving over the top of the later.

A very convenient access to the field has been made. A perfect place to park up and then a very short walk.

Poor wee thing looking rather exposed and vulnerable today. It has survived the recent nearby forestry operations so far.

I have passed within 30 metres or so of this one twice a day for the last 12 months and today was the first opportunity to jump the fence.

P146. Parked on grass verge beside trig. Jumped over fence. Soon spotted it. You wonder how this could get so badly damaged, then you see these huge tyre tram lines on each side of it. It must be getting hit by the tractor. Poor wee fella.

Parked in the side road to Thankerton 300 metres away so walked through the open gate into the field then aimed for the woodland where the damaged FBM was easily found.

Parked up on grass verge at roadside and hopped the fence. Trig located 20m or so into a pasture. No cows or sheep present today; Tinto looming behind it to the west. Both concrete and bolt both damaged - see photos. Height tag missing.

Logged this whilst in the area to climb Tinto. I got off the bus in Thankerton and proceeded to the A73 past Sherifflatts. At the junction there is a gate which can easily be climbed into the FBM field. At present the cows have munched the grass good and short.

No height tag on this Eastern-nibbled FBM. The field had some lambs (thankfully distant) but a 3-tier barbed wire fence is fairly extreme security. :-/

FBM around 30m back from the fence at the corner of a small copse. Bounced the barbed wire fence avoiding curious coos. The pillar is in good condition except for two removed corners presumably due to farm machinery. Tinto looms ominously behind.

Plenty of newish barbed wire on the A73 fence, and the grass had grown sufficiently that it was not visible from the. Rob's location is accurate though.
